We currently do not accept EPUB files as input. But we can produce EPUB files as an output. We look forward to full EPUB support in the near future.
Using our powerful Swift API, developers can compress EPUB documents to optimize content and output file size. Reducing EPUB size occurs by cleaning up unused data and resources. You can also compress images inside EPUB to make the output file size even smaller.
The result of content optimization and compression can be saved in the original EPUB or any available save format – DOCX, DOC, RTF, HTML and many others. For example, compress EPUB and save the output as Word.
As mentioned, our Swift SDK allows you to programmatically reduce EPUB size. And now you can try our powerful functionality and evaluate how to compress EPUB in Swift with the following example:
import AsposeWordsCloud
let config = Configuration(clientId: "####-####-####-####-####",
clientSecret: "##################");
let api = try WordsAPI(configuration: config);
let requestDocument = InputStream(url: URL(string: "Input.docx"))!;
let requestCompressOptions = CompressOptions()
.setImagesQuality(imagesQuality: 75)
.setImagesReduceSizeFactor(imagesReduceSizeFactor: 1);
let compressDocumentRequest = CompressDocumentOnlineRequest(
document: requestDocument, compressOptions: requestCompressOptions);
let compressDocument = try api.compressDocumentOnline(request: compressDocumentRequest);
let convertDocument = ConvertDocumentRequest(
document: compressDocument.document.values.first, format: "epub");
_ = try api.convertDocument(request: convertDocument);
You can use Swift package manager and Cocoapods dependency manager to install Aspose.Words Cloud SDK for Swift. Detailed information on installing the package is given in the "Installation and Usage" section.
As an alternative, you can clone Aspose.Words Cloud SDK for Swift source code from GitHub and use it in your project.
